Tinubu Congratulates Soludo on Re-election, Describes Victory as Proof of Visionary Leadership

President Bola Tinubu hails Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s second-term victory as a testament to his reforms and the progress recorded in Anambra State.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Professor Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election as Governor of Anambra State, describing the victory as an affirmation of his visionary leadership and the remarkable progress recorded under his administration.

In a statement issued on November 9, 2025, President Tinubu noted that Governor Soludo’s overwhelming victory in Saturday’s poll makes him only the third governor in Anambra’s political history to secure a second term in office.

The President also commended the people of Anambra State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and the security agencies for the peaceful and credible conduct of the election.

“Professor Soludo’s re-election is a testament to his visionary leadership and the significant strides Anambra State has made under his guidance,” the President said.

President Tinubu praised Governor Soludo’s blend of academic depth and practical governance, noting that he has brought discipline, transparency, and intellectual rigor to public service.

“Governor Soludo has demonstrated that knowledge is power, showing how academic principles can translate into effective governance, accountability, and prudent resource management,” he said.

Reflecting on his visit to Anambra in May 2025, President Tinubu recalled inaugurating key projects initiated by the Soludo administration, describing the experience as “remarkable and indelible.”

The President lauded Soludo’s leadership qualities, saying:

“He has brought discipline, grace, brilliance, and a fresh perspective to governance. Under his watch, Anambra truly lives up to its motto as ‘The Light of the Nation.’”

President Tinubu urged Governor Soludo to be magnanimous in victory, extend a hand of fellowship to his opponents, and continue working for the unity and development of Anambra State.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to continued collaboration between the Federal Government and Anambra State, pledging unwavering support for the governor’s administration.

The President commended INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, and his team for conducting what observers have described as a credible and transparent election, urging the commission to maintain and further improve on the standards achieved.

“The victory of the opposition All Grand Progressives Alliance (APGA) once again demonstrates the vitality of Nigeria’s democracy — that the people’s will prevails, and that hard work and progress are always rewarded,” President Tinubu stated.
