Ogun Amotekun Corps Expands with Recruitment of 500 New Operatives

In a decisive move to enhance security across Ogun State, Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved the recruitment of 500 additional personnel into the Ogun State Security Network Agency, popularly known as the Amotekun Corps.

The recruitment drive, which comes just two months after the passing-out parade of newly trained operatives, is part of the state government’s commitment to strengthening security and ensuring the protection of residents.

According to a statement issued by the Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Alade I. Adedigba (Rtd.), interested candidates can submit their applications free of charge via the official website, ogunstateamotekun.com.ng. The application period will run from Monday, March 10, 2025, to Friday, April 4, 2025.

A screening exercise has been scheduled to take place from Tuesday, April 22, 2025, to Thursday, May 1, 2025, where applicants will undergo a thorough selection process to ensure only the most qualified candidates join the security outfit.

The Ogun Amotekun Corps has played a crucial role in combating crime, tackling security threats, and maintaining law and order across the state. This latest recruitment is expected to boost the corps’ operational capacity and reinforce its mission to provide enhanced security for all communities.

Residents and security stakeholders have lauded the state government’s proactive approach, emphasizing the importance of a well-equipped security network in addressing rising security challenges.

With this latest development, the Ogun State Government continues to reaffirm its dedication to creating a safer environment for all
