Akintunde Greets Omoluabi Members, Projects All-Round Success in the New Year

The Convener of the newly reformed Omoluabi Movement, Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde, has commended the dedication and unwavering commitment of the movement’s state coordinators, executives and members across Ogun State, wishing them all-round success in the New Year.

Akintunde gave the commendation in his New Year message released to journalists on Thursday through the movement’s Director of Media and Publicity, shortly after he extended goodwill to members with instant cash transfers to mark the New Year celebration.

He described the collective contributions of members across different parts of the state as instrumental to the steady rise and growing influence of the Omoluabi Movement, noting that their steadfastness, unity and sense of purpose have positioned the group ahead of many others in the political space.

According to him, the Omoluabi Movement, formerly known as DACA, has grown into a formidable ideological platform with a membership strength of over 30,000, promoting progressive ideals, participatory democracy and responsible leadership across Ogun State.

Beyond partisan politics, Akintunde noted that the movement remains committed to grooming a new generation of democratic leaders who are driven by accountability, development and shared prosperity for Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.

Describing the New Year as a season of renewed progress and empowerment, Akintunde assured members that the movement would intensify initiatives focused on collective growth, leadership development and capacity building.

“As we enter this New Year, I congratulate all members of the Omoluabi Movement for making it this far. This year undoubtedly represents a season of all-round success and upliftment for us all,” he said.

“Our long-standing efforts are already yielding positive results, and your individual contributions have continued to strengthen the movement’s momentum among political groups in the state. I wish you all a New Year filled with success and advancement in all areas of life.”

The statement also reaffirmed the Omoluabi Movement’s unwavering support for its principal, Prince Dapo Abiodun, ahead of the forthcoming senatorial race, as well as for other party candidates under the leadership of Governor Abiodun.

Akintunde emphasized that the Omoluabi Movement represents more than political alignment, describing it as a call to responsible leadership, service-driven politics and active civic participation.

According to him, the movement exemplifies inclusive, purpose-driven and transformative politics, adding that as Ogun State continues to evolve under visionary leadership, groups like the Omoluabi Movement will remain critical to shaping a political landscape anchored on values, service and the collective good.

He further highlighted Prince Dapo Abiodun’s leadership qualities and experience, noting that his productive years as governor have deepened his understanding of grassroots representation and national policymaking.

“With his proven track record, calm leadership style and enduring commitment to excellence, Prince Dapo Abiodun offers not just representation, but reassurance — a promise that quality leadership can, and will, continue,” Akintunde concluded.
