Prince Olawale Yusuf Adeyemi-Oriola (Esq.) has once again brought festive excitement to Ijebu-Ode after hosting a grand Christmas celebration for hundreds of children in the Agunsebi community on Monday.
Though unavoidably absent, the prince was ably represented by members of his Obayori age group and family, who successfully coordinated the event on his behalf. They explained that the initiative reflects his enduring passion for humanitarian service, particularly in supporting children and strengthening community ties.
Speaking with journalists via telephone, Prince Adeyemi-Oriola described the celebration as a heartfelt effort to ensure that children experience love and inclusion during the Christmas season.
“Christmas is a time for giving, sharing happiness, and making children feel that they truly belong,” he said.
He further noted that generosity during festive periods gives him personal fulfillment, adding, “If I do not give at a time like this, I do not feel relaxed, because Christmas represents love and sacrifice.”
The colourful event attracted parents, guardians, and other community members, many of whom applauded the gesture as a meaningful contribution to child development and social bonding within the community.
Children at the celebration received makeshift school bags containing water bottles, pens, notebooks, rulers, and erasers, alongside food packs. Additionally, selected parents were presented with bags of food items, including garri, rice, and semovita, during an energetic children’s dance competition that added glamour and excitement to the occasion.
Members of Obayori Okunrin Asiwaju Akile Ijebu, including Otun Giwa Kuku, Ayodeji Kolade, and Oduwole Olabanji, were also in attendance. They felicitated with Prince Adeyemi-Oriola and commended his generosity and sustained commitment to uplifting children and the wider community during the Christmas season.
