AI and an Impressive Scam: Dare Babarinsa Exposes Fake Adeleke-Tinubu Clip

Dare Babarinsa has revealed that the viral story about Governor Ademola Adeleke and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu is entirely AI-generated.

The controversy started when a video clip allegedly showing the First Lady confronting Governor Adeleke during his speech at the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife on Sunday, December 7, 2025, began circulating online.

According to Babarinsa, the clip is fake, created by individuals with a “diabolical sense of humour.” Speaking from personal experience, he stated, “No one interrupted Adeleke during his speech. I was standing right next to him.”

Babarinsa noted that the AI-generated video was so convincing that even credible sources were deceived. He emphasized the need for government action to protect citizens from such sophisticated digital scams, calling the creation “an impressive scam.”
