The Executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. (Dr.) Babatunde Diya, has rewarded two loyal members of his team for their dedication and service with a Toyota Camry and a Bajaj motorcycle.

The beneficiaries, Mr. Ademola Fayemi and Mr. Nurudeen Adekoya—who serves as Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman—were recognized for their unwavering support and long-term contributions to the administration’s success.

At the presentation ceremony, which drew dignitaries from across Ogun State, the Member representing Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, Hon. Olufemi Ogunbanwo, commended Dr. Diya for exemplifying leadership that celebrates loyalty, performance, and integrity. He described the gesture as a powerful motivation for others to work selflessly toward community development.

“Dr. Diya has shown that loyalty and hard work never go unrewarded,” Ogunbanwo said. “This kind of leadership strengthens unity and inspires progress at the grassroots.”

Speaking with SageBits Online, Dr. Diya reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented governance and inclusive leadership, noting that more empowerment packages are being planned for deserving individuals across Odogbolu’s wards.

“It gives me great joy to give back to my people,” he said. “I promised during my campaign that those who contribute to our local government’s growth will be appreciated. This is just one of many steps toward fulfilling that promise.”

Dr. Diya also expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his visionary leadership and continued support for grassroots development.

“Our success at the local level reflects the enabling environment created by Governor Abiodun,” Diya added. “His progressive leadership has provided opportunities for effective governance and sustainable growth across all local governments.”

The beneficiaries, visibly moved by the recognition, thanked the chairman for his generosity and encouragement, pledging to intensify their efforts toward advancing Odogbolu’s development agenda.

Among dignitaries at the event were Akogun Muyiwa Idowu (Odogbolu APC Chairman), Hon. Adebowale Ojuri (Commissioner I), Hon. Oyinkansola Cole (Commissioner, JSC), Dr. Tayo Lawal (SA on Health), Mr. Dennis Ogunnaike (SA on Tech Innovation), Mr. Ola Olufunmilayo (SSA on Finance), Hon. Ladejobi Shuaib (GLO), Hon. Princess Victoria Olusola Adeyinka (Vice Chairman, Odogbolu LG), Chief Ganiu Odunlami (Double Chief), and Hon. Ezekiel Agbaoye, former Vice Chairman, among others.

With this gesture, Dr. Babatunde Diya continues to promote the values of service, excellence, and unity in Odogbolu Local Government under the progressive leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
