YPM Donates N1bn, Unveils 27 Campaign Buses for Yayi Ahead of 2027

Group pledges massive grassroots mobilisation for APC, vows Ogun will deliver highest South-West votes for Tinubu

The Yayi Progressives Movement (YPM) has announced a N1 billion donation and unveiled 27 branded campaign buses in support of the 2027 governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.

The donation and unveiling took place during the official inauguration of the group at the Ake Palace Pavilion in Abeokuta, where party loyalists, political stakeholders, and supporters gathered for the event.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Convener of the Movement, Armstrong Tope Akintunde, said the funds and vehicles would be used for campaign logistics and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

He also inaugurated the State Executive Members of the group led by Olusegun Kaka.

According to Akintunde, the Movement is determined to ensure the emergence of Senator Adeola as Ogun State governor under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“This is not about an individual. It is about securing the future of Ogun State. Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi represents competence, continuity, and a proven track record,” he said.

The group also pledged to mobilise the highest number of votes in the South-West region for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

Akintunde maintained that opposition coalitions would not prevent victory for the APC at both presidential and state levels.

“Ogun State will deliver the highest number of votes in the entire South-West. This assignment has been made easier through the support and collaboration of party leaders,” he stated.

The YPM convener commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for what he described as sustained infrastructural development and peaceful governance in Ogun State.

He noted that the Movement’s support for Adeola is aimed at consolidating the achievements of the current administration.

Akintunde further described the evolution of the YPM as part of a broader political journey in Ogun State.

“The Yayi Progressives Movement has come a long way, emerging from DACA through Omoluabi and now standing strong in its present form,” he added.

Earlier in his remarks, State Coordinator Olusegun Kaka said the inauguration symbolised the collective commitment of members to unity, progress, and political mobilisation.

He urged members to remain committed to the Movement’s goals and continue working towards the growth and development of Ogun State.

Prominent personalities present at the event included: Adegbenga Kaka, Gbenga Obadara, Iyabo Anisulowo, Abayomi Arigbabu, Ade Akinsanya
Waliu Taiwo, Kehinde Odeneye and Ibrahim Egungbohun
