Omoluabi Movement Seeks Ooni’s Blessings, Unveils 26 Buses Ahead of 2027

Group pledges massive grassroots mobilisation for APC, backs Tinubu’s second-term bid

The Ogun State-based Omoluabi Movement on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at his palace in Ile-Ife, seeking royal blessings and guidance as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.

Led by its Convener, Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde, the delegation was received at the monarch’s palace, where prayers were offered for the group’s continued growth and political aspirations.

The visit also featured the unveiling of 26 newly acquired buses aimed at strengthening the movement’s grassroots mobilisation structure across Ogun State.

Akintunde described the Ooni as a father figure whose character and leadership embody the true essence of “Omoluabi,” noting that the monarch was part of the inspiration behind the formation of the movement.

“Moving into this new political phase, it is important for us to seek our royal father’s blessings,” he said, adding that the group remains committed to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his second-term aspiration.

He stated that the movement’s primary assignment is to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election bid, as well as for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who emerge from the party primaries in Ogun State.

“We are prepared to mobilise massively across the length and breadth of Ogun State,” Akintunde declared, commending members and coordinators at state and local government levels for their steadfastness and dedication.

Also speaking, the State Coordinator, Hon. Olusegun Kaka, praised the convener’s vision and leadership, saying the newly branded buses would enhance grassroots outreach and facilitate participation in upcoming political activities, including the party’s national convention in Abuja.

In his remarks, the Ooni expressed delight at receiving the group and offered prayers for unity, progress, and success in their future endeavours.

The Omoluabi Movement has positioned itself as a fast-growing, grassroots-driven political platform focused on leadership development, community engagement, and progressive governance in Ogun State.

With structures across local governments and an expanding mobilisation network, the group says it is building momentum toward the 2027 elections through strategic organisation and people-centred initiatives.

The unveiling of the 26 buses, according to a statement signed by the State Media Director, Oluseun Joshua underscores the movement’s readiness for structured political engagement as the election cycle approaches.
