Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Nigerian politician and member of the House of Representatives representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency in Ogun State, has commissioned a landmark Police Divisional Office in Oja Odan as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen community security and sustainable development.
At the commissioning, Isiaka emphasised that security remains the foundation of progress, noting that without safety and stability, other development efforts cannot thrive. He explained that the new facility is intended to provide law enforcement officers with the tools and environment needed to effectively protect lives and property, while also giving residents the confidence to carry out their daily activities without fear.
The event drew the presence of key stakeholders, including the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Subair Olusola, and the Oloja of Oja Odan, HRM Oba Oyebamiji Adetunji, whose attendance highlighted strong institutional and traditional support for the project.
Also commissioned at the site was an electric transformer aimed at improving power supply in the area. The power intervention is expected to enhance security operations and support local economic activities, contributing to overall community wellbeing.
Isiaka later visited Eggua to inspect the Rice Cultivation and Processing Facility, a strategic agricultural investment that has continued to generate jobs and stimulate multiple livelihoods within the constituency. He described the project as a deliberate intervention designed to create opportunities that multiply across the agricultural value chain and reach communities at the grassroots.
According to the lawmaker, sustainable prosperity is built by combining security infrastructure with productive investments that empower people economically.
