Presenting the chairs, Isiaka reiterated his commitment to supporting the media, describing it as a vital partner in strengthening democracy, good governance, and accountability. He stressed that journalists play a pivotal role in nation-building, and providing them with a conducive workspace is an investment in societal growth.

Reacting to the donation, the Chairman of Ogun NUJ, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, described the intervention as timely and impactful. He noted that the chairs would improve members’ comfort and productivity while enhancing the Council’s image.

The Council added that Isiaka’s gesture was consistent with his long-standing relationship with the press and his belief in the transformative power of the media. Members also hailed the donation as not only generous but also reflective of visionary leadership.

On behalf of its members, the Union pledged to put the chairs to judicious use while reaffirming its commitment to professional ethics. It further urged other well-meaning individuals and institutions to emulate Isiaka’s example by supporting the media to serve society more effectively.
