FUBARA UNSHAKABLE: ANALYST DISMISSES RIVERS IMPEACHMENT RUMORS!

Presidency, APC Stand Firm as Political Tensions Mount

Political analyst Donald Okwuosa says Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara remains politically secure despite impeachment threats linked to a brewing power struggle. Support from the Presidency and APC leadership reinforces Fubara’s position amid lawmakers reportedly aligned with Minister Nyesom Wike.

According to Okwuosa, the impeachment moves have not gained the necessary traction because Governor Fubara continues to enjoy the backing of both the Presidency and the national leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He noted that this support includes a clear affirmation of Governor Fubara as the political leader of the APC in Rivers State, a development that significantly strengthens his standing within the party and limits the effectiveness of opposition moves within the State House of Assembly.

Okwuosa added that the alignment of federal and party leadership support has effectively stabilised the governor’s position amid the ongoing political tensions in the state.
