President Bola Tinubu on Monday assured Nigerians that his administration will sustain ongoing economic reforms to drive prosperity and inclusion, as he commended Governor Umaru Fintiri and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu during a one-day official visit to Adamawa State.

Speaking in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, President Tinubu said the federal government’s economic repositioning efforts were steadily yielding results across the country, particularly in education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
He stressed that the reforms had enabled greater allocations to states, empowering subnational governments to execute impactful projects that directly improve livelihoods.

“That is the consequence of us working together, and we will achieve more macroeconomic successes,” the President said, noting that his administration is investing heavily in agriculture and human capital development to ensure food security and long-term prosperity.
Tinubu praised Governor Fintiri for effectively utilising federal allocations to deliver tangible projects, describing him as a leader committed to the welfare of the people.
“I’ve seen a tremendous amount of renewal and commitment from you in investments in the education of our children,” the President said, commending the governor’s vision for Adamawa’s development.

Among the projects commissioned were a model school — part of 21 built across the state’s local government areas — major road expansions including the Galadima Aminu Road with an overhead bridge and underpass, the dualised Gimba Road, a remodelled High Court Complex, and a new Government House office complex.

President Tinubu said the infrastructure projects, including an eight-lane road and underpass, would ease mobility, stimulate commerce, and strengthen the administration of justice in the state.
He also urged state governments nationwide to prioritise poverty reduction initiatives, particularly by improving access to quality education.
The President thanked traditional and religious leaders in Adamawa for fostering peace and unity despite economic and political challenges.

Commending Ribadu, a native of the state, Tinubu said the National Security Adviser was providing strong and courageous leadership in tackling insecurity.
“With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists. You are honest, bold, and committed to the job,” the President said.
In his remarks, Governor Fintiri thanked the President for visiting and commissioning the projects, describing the visit as an honour for the state. He detailed the costs of the projects, including N24.8 billion for the model schools, N15.6 billion for the expanded road projects, N5.5 billion for the High Court Complex remodelling, and N6.3 billion for the Government House office complex.

The governor also pledged continued support for the President’s reform agenda.
In attendance were Agbu Kefas of Taraba; Babagana Zulum of Borno; Caleb Muftwang of Plateau; Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe; and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe. Ministers and other senior government officials were also in attendance.
