Engr. Noimot Salako Champions Child Health as PAN Brings 57th Annual Conference to Abeokuta

Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako, has once again underscored the state government’s unwavering commitment to child health and overall healthcare development as she received the leadership of the Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN) on a courtesy visit in Abeokuta.

Engr. Salako, warmly referred to as “Mum 2” for her people-focused leadership style, hosted the President of PAN, Prof. Ekanem Ekure, alongside members of the association’s executive council and the Local Organising Committee ahead of the association’s 57th Annual Conference and Scientific Meeting taking place in Ogun State.

Welcoming the delegation, the Deputy Governor reaffirmed the strong support of Governor Dapo Abiodun for improved healthcare delivery across Ogun State, with particular emphasis on early childhood healthcare, proper nutrition and quality education as pillars for lifelong wellbeing.

She noted that the presence of paediatric experts from across Nigeria in Abeokuta highlights the growing importance of collaborative efforts in addressing child health challenges and strengthening healthcare systems nationwide.

Engr. Salako thanked the Paediatric Association of Nigeria for choosing Abeokuta as host city for the landmark conference and assured delegates of the hospitality Ogun State is known for, wishing them fruitful deliberations and a pleasant stay throughout their time in the state.
