2026: Prince Adeyemi-Oriola Felicitates Ijebuland, Projects Peace, Progress

Hails sustained peace in Ogun under Abiodun administration

Prince Olawale Yusuf Adeyemi-Oriola (Esq) has extended New Year greetings to sons and daughters of Ijebuland, both at home and in the diaspora, expressing strong optimism for a year marked by peace, progress and shared prosperity.
In his 2026 goodwill message, Prince Adeyemi-Oriola described himself as a proud Ijebu son whose life has been shaped by deep ancestral heritage, sound education and years of professional service. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the core values of Ijebuland, which he said remain firmly rooted in tradition while embracing a forward-looking and progressive outlook.

A member of the Olufadi/Obanlefa branch of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, the prince noted that responsible leadership within traditional institutions demands a careful balance between respect for age-long customs and the capacity to engage modern governance, innovation and sustainable development.

He outlined a broad vision for the continued advancement of Ijebuland, emphasizing economic growth, youth empowerment, improved infrastructure, the quest for Ijebu statehood, cultural promotion and unity, while respecting all religious beliefs and upholding Isese traditions.

“I wish all fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters of Ijebuland a happy and prosperous New Year. May our land continue to witness peace, progress and abundant blessings,” he said.

Prince Adeyemi-Oriola also commended the Ogun State Government under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun for sustaining peace and stability across the state, describing the prevailing calm as a solid foundation for development and communal harmony.

According to him, the peaceful atmosphere currently enjoyed by residents is a product of effective governance, strategic coordination and the cooperation of the people.

“Ijebuland, as a vital part of Ogun State, continues to record steady progress under this atmosphere of peace. Leadership is about vision, influence and the ability to inspire, not merely the exercise of authority,” he stated.

He added that these qualities are clearly reflected in the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, praying for divine guidance and protection for the state and its people.

Prince Adeyemi-Oriola urged sons and daughters of Ijebuland to remain united, patriotic and committed to the collective growth and greatness of Ijebuland and Ogun State in the year ahead.
