Ogun Policies Making State Top Investment Destination – Deputy Governor

Noimot Salako-Oyedele says sustained infrastructure development, security and reforms are driving investor confidence in Ogun State.

Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has said that policies of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration have positioned the state as one of Nigeria’s most attractive destinations for investment.

She made the remark while delivering an address at the opening of Alpha Morgan Bank’s Sango Ota branch, noting that sustained investment in infrastructure, improved security and regulatory reforms have created a stable and business-friendly environment.

According to the Deputy Governor, when government policies provide clarity and consistency, the private sector is encouraged to invest and introduce economically viable innovations that promote job creation and economic growth.

She said Ota and Agbara have continued to serve as the industrial backbone of Ogun State, playing a major role in shaping the state’s reputation as Nigeria’s industrial hub.

“Our government has created and will continue to create an enabling environment for investors to thrive in Ogun State,” Salako-Oyedele said.

Salako-Oyedele commended Alpha Morgan Bank for choosing Ogun State for its expansion, particularly Ota, and urged the financial institution to consider opening additional branches in other parts of the state.

She added that the bank’s decision to locate its first branch in Ogun at Ota reflected its confidence in the community and its future. The Deputy Governor also praised the bank for sponsoring this year’s Odun Omo Iganmode festival, describing it as a demonstration of commitment to cultural promotion and community identity.

Also speaking at the event, the Olota of Ota, HRM Oba Abdulkabir Obalanlege, thanked the bank for establishing a branch in the area, noting that Sango Ota remains one of the busiest commercial centres in Ogun State and Nigeria. He offered prayers for the growth and sustainability of the institution.

Earlier, the Group Managing Director of Alpha Morgan Bank, Mr Ade Buraimo, said the newly licensed bank is fast gaining prominence, with 14 branches already operating across the country. He disclosed plans to open additional branches in Osogbo and Abeokuta, while reaffirming the bank’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s financial sector.
