Represented by the Director of Library Services, Mr. Franklin Giwa, the Commissioner noted that adults who can operate digital devices and engage with modern technology are better prepared to function productively in today’s society. He added that adopting digital tools at all education levels will significantly accelerate the eradication of illiteracy across communities.
According to him, “As a purposeful administration, we envision a future in which every child and adult can read, write and apply essential skills to live independently.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Oluwatosin Oloko—represented by the Director of Education (Planning, Research and Statistics), Mr. Obadiah Akindele—called on stakeholders, educators, community leaders, development partners and civil society groups to work with the government to build a literate and digitally skilled Ogun State.
