OLOOTA OF ODO-OWA ELEVATED TO FIRST CLASS STATUS, COMMUNITY CELEBRATES

…monarch’s recognition described as well-deserved, calls for unity intensify

The ancient town of Odo-Owa in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State has erupted in celebration following the elevation of His Royal Highness, Joshua Adegbuyi Adeyemi, to the prestigious status of a First Class traditional ruler.

The monarch, who holds the title Adimula Odundun Asodedero, Oloota of Odo-Owa Kingdom, was honoured in recognition of his leadership, contributions to community development, and commitment to peace and unity.

Reacting to the development, Oyeyemi Adeniyi Olajide described the elevation as long-awaited and richly deserved, noting that it marks a significant milestone for both the royal institution and the entire Odo-Owa community.

He commended the monarch for fostering peace, stability, and progress within the kingdom, adding that his leadership continues to serve as a source of inspiration for generations.

Olajide also acknowledged the contributions of the people of Orota land, highlighting the collective sacrifices of past and present stakeholders in sustaining unity and driving development across the community.

He urged residents to preserve the existing harmony, stressing that unity remains essential for sustained growth and advancement.

The statement concluded with prayers for a long, impactful, and prosperous reign for the monarch, as the community celebrates what is widely regarded as a historic and defining moment.
