Eid-el-Kabir: Armstrong Akintunde Felicitates Muslims, Seeks Prayers for Senator Adeola’s 2027 Governorship Ambition

YPM Convener Calls for Unity, Sacrifice and Grassroots Support Ahead of Ogun 2027 Elections

The Convener of the Yayi Progressives Movement (YPM), Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde, has congratulated Muslim faithful across Ogun State and Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, describing the season as a period of reflection, unity, sacrifice and renewed hope for the future.

Akintunde, in a felicitation message made available to journalists on Wednesday, urged Muslims to continue praying for peace, stability and progress in Ogun State, while also supporting the governorship aspiration of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.

According to him, the Eid-el-Kabir celebration offers another opportunity for Nigerians to strengthen the values of togetherness, sacrifice, compassion and commitment to nation-building.

“This is another joyous moment for us to witness the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir. May the blessings and happiness of this season fill our homes, communities and the nation at large,” Akintunde stated.

He particularly appealed to Muslim faithful and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to continue praying for Senator Adeola, whom he described as a visionary leader with the capacity to sustain development and growth in Ogun State.

“I want to specially appeal to our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to support and pray for the success of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State. Senator Adeola’s vision and leadership qualities remain vital to the continued development and growth of our dear state,” he said.

The YPM Convener further stressed the importance of unity among members and supporters of the movement, noting that collective commitment and teamwork would remain essential in achieving the group’s political objectives ahead of the next general elections.

“This celebration should serve as a reminder that we are one family and one progressive movement. Our collective strength, unity and dedication will continue to move us forward as we work together for a better Ogun State,” he added.

Akintunde also reaffirmed the commitment of the Yayi Progressives Movement to grassroots mobilisation, youth empowerment and inclusive political participation across Ogun State.

According to him, the movement remains focused on building a strong political structure that prioritises the welfare, aspirations and development of the people.

He noted that the Yayi Progressives Movement has continued to gain recognition across communities in Ogun State through consistent grassroots engagement, promotion of progressive ideals and support for what he described as visionary leadership.

Akintunde added that the movement would sustain its mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections while promoting unity, democratic participation and socio-political development across the state.

The Yayi Progressives Movement remains one of the prominent grassroots political support groups backing the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
