The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the release of the final list of successful candidates for its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, with 3,852 applicants selected from a total of 573,680 applications received nationwide.
The announcement marks the conclusion of one of the country’s most competitive federal recruitment exercises, with successful candidates emerging after a rigorous screening and selection process.
Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, disclosed the development during a media briefing on Tuesday, stating that the successful candidates were recruited into the Superintendent, Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres of the Service.

According to him, the recruitment process was conducted to ensure transparency, fairness and national representation, with all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) adequately represented in the final selection.
Adeniyi explained that the exercise followed a comprehensive evaluation process involving documentation, screening, aptitude assessments and other stages designed to identify qualified candidates capable of supporting the Service’s mandate of revenue generation, border security and trade facilitation.
He noted that the successful applicants would soon receive further instructions regarding documentation, training and commencement procedures.
The Comptroller-General commended the recruitment committee and other stakeholders involved in the exercise for ensuring a credible and merit-based process.

He also appreciated the patience shown by applicants throughout the recruitment exercise, while encouraging unsuccessful candidates not to lose hope, assuring them that future opportunities would be announced in due course.
The Nigeria Customs Service has continued to strengthen its workforce as part of ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, improving border management and boosting the country’s economic and security objectives.
