Abiodun Highlights Subnational Growth Strategies at NEC Conference

Ogun Governor joins national panel to align state policies with Renewed Hope Development Plan

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State was among key panelists at the second edition of the National Economic Council (NEC) Conference held at the State House Conference Centre,

Abuja, where discussions centred on inclusive growth and sustainable national development under the Renewed Hope National Development Plan.

At the high-level gathering of governors, ministers and national stakeholders, Governor Abiodun contributed to deliberations on how subnational governments can strengthen their economies while aligning with the Federal Government’s vision for economic resilience, social inclusion and long-term sustainability.

The Ogun State Governor emphasised the importance of expanding opportunities for shared prosperity through state-driven initiatives that attract investment, improve infrastructure, and boost productivity across sectors.

Discussions at the conference also explored practical pathways for ensuring that economic growth translates into measurable benefits for citizens in all regions, with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and people-centred policies.

Governor Abiodun noted that the platform provided an opportunity for state leaders to exchange ideas, harmonise strategies, and reaffirm their collective commitment to accelerating development at both the national and subnational levels.
