The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the outcome of the recent by-elections held across parts of the country as a clear endorsement of the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the policies of his administration.
In a statement issued on February 22, 2026, the party’s spokesman, Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, expressed appreciation to voters in Rivers State, Kano State, and the Federal Capital Territory, as well as Nigerians nationwide, for what it called overwhelming support for APC candidates during the polls.
According to the party, the results from the affected constituencies demonstrate the electorate’s confidence in the Renewed Hope Agenda and the reforms being implemented at both federal and state levels.
The statement noted that despite criticism from opposition groups, Nigerians had used the ballot box to express trust in ongoing economic reforms, infrastructure development, and institutional strengthening under the Tinubu administration.
The Lagos APC also argued that the elections highlighted the difference between online political activism and actual voter support. It maintained that while opposition voices dominated social media discussions, such influence did not translate into electoral success during the by-elections.
The party further suggested that the momentum generated from the polls could shape the political outlook ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing optimism that the ruling party would continue to enjoy broad public support based on its performance in government.

The APC chapter commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting the elections, while also praising security agencies for maintaining peace and order throughout the process.
It also acknowledged the contributions of party members, campaign teams, and volunteers whose grassroots mobilisation efforts contributed to the victories recorded at the polls.
Reaffirming its position, the Lagos APC pledged continued support for President Tinubu and called on Nigerians across political divides to work together in building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
