Ogun Group, Caucus 7202, Endorses Tinubu, Abiodun, Adeola Ahead of 2027

Coalition opens senatorial secretariat in Ijebu-Ode, rallies APC members across Ogun East

A political group in Ogun State, Caucus 7202 (The Coalition), has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election, Governor Dapo Abiodun for the Ogun East Senatorial seat, and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) for Governor of Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced on Tuesday by the group’s Director General, Hon. Olaseni Koiki, during an event that began with the commissioning of the group’s senatorial secretariat along Moborode Street, Ijebu-Ode, before moving to Adeola Odutola Event Hall for a larger gathering of APC members and leaders from across Ogun East.

Koiki said the group passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu’s administration, citing what he described as achievements in agriculture, education, infrastructure, security and the economy.

“President Tinubu has done a lot and deserves a second term to continue the work for national development,” Koiki said.

He explained that the meeting was convened to harmonise positions ahead of party primaries and present what the group considers suitable choices to party members and the public.

On Governor Dapo Abiodun’s senatorial bid, Koiki said the governor’s experience in office positions him to effectively represent Ogun East in the Senate.

“Prince Dapo Abiodun’s years as governor have prepared him to deliver for Ogun East at the Senate,” he noted.
Koiki also described Senator Adeola as a proven performer with visible projects and influence across Ogun State.

“Senator Solomon Adeola (YAYI) has demonstrated capacity and leadership. We are confident in supporting him,” he added.

Other speakers, including Hon. Dr. Samuel Adejare and Otunba Adewale Oshinubi, echoed the endorsements and urged party members to remain united ahead of 2027.

Dr. Adejare expressed confidence that the endorsed candidates would emerge successful if members remain committed to party direction.

The event drew attendance from several APC chieftains and stakeholders across Ogun East, including Hon. Razaq Daddah, Hon. Kunle Otun, Hon. Deko Onamusi, Hon. Emilola Gazal, Otunba Adewale Oshinubi, and Hon. Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf, among others.

Caucus 7202 described itself as a grassroots political coalition with over 300,000 members and 1,500 subgroups spread across the 20 local government areas of Ogun State.
